It is my pleasure as newly elected President to welcome you to the 40th Anniversary year of the Australia Japan Society (Tas) Inc. and this latest edition of the newsletter. While I assure members that your Society is at this moment healthy from a structural, planning and financial perspective, in recent times a range of conflicting issues threatened to disrupt the activities and general short term future of the Society.
